Comments about Lone Peak Sundance Panniers: Used these on a 4-day jaunt down the GAP/C&O trail. (We also used the Lone Peak trunk.) Combo easily held 4 days worth of cloths & accessories for the trip. Would not recommend for much longer treks, but these are perfect for the weekender (up to maybe a week on the road) at about half the cost of higher end panniers. Comments about Lone Peak Sundance Panniers: These were purchased for my wife. I have a set with over 1200 miles of Rails To Trails travel. Reasonable volume, quality construction, easy, secure mounting system. There are many types of panniers but for the money Lone Peak is one of the best. Pros

What are the dimensions? A previous answer states that the panniers are only 3.5 " deep. However, the set is 1500 ci and each pannier would be 750 ci. These panniers are not water proof the best they will be is water repellant. You can get covers, however you can pack the items you put in the panniers in water proof sacks as well. We do carry water proof panniers. Here is one. Seattle Sports Rain Rider Pannier
