Comments about Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp: The headlamp works fine so far. That's an average one hour per day walking at night on unlit paths and dark roadsides for about a month. No extreme wet or cold trials yet. I bought it because of positive reviews about its default red lamp on start up, and indeed this is a nice feature. The only feature I wish it had was a blinking mode for walking against car traffic.

Comments about Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp: It's a good lite wieght light. After you figure out the light sequence turning it on to the proper beam setting is a snap.

Comments about Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp: This is a good headlamp. The adjustable light source is a little sticky, but not a huge deal.

Comments about Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp: like the red leds, though there should be one more white as it barely has enough power to be useful.

Comments about Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp: Looks to be well made without flimsy parts. Battery door is very solid. I like that the red is the first light on - saves night vision and battery life by starting with lower current draw.

Comments about Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp: used the product in my tent on a bicycle trip. also got some use out of it when outside the tent, but had to be careful not to shine it on other people's tents when looking around while walking through the campground (would be the same with any headlamp). liked the red beam start up.
