Have used it on several Scout campouts, four seasons. Very light to wear, with comfortable headband. Bright on even the low setting.
The only problem is that after storing it (turned off, naturaly) I found the batteries were dead. The only way to save the batteries is to remove them. What a random design flaw!
Otherwise, a handy piece of equipment.

This is a nice light when it works. Unfortunately you cannot count on using it because it goes into this random dim "flicker" mode where it will not shut off or change state. Some reviews say you need to put extra fresh batteries in it to fix it. Worthless... the same batteries that "cause" the problem in this light would work just fine in any other light. You cannot count on this when you need it.

P-Tec should recall these. It's just a shame and a waste of money.

Great product.
you must cycle through the 3 light setting options to turn off. That kind of defeats the red beam for night vision. Great value for the cost.

Took this on my solo bike/hike/camping trip and it totally failed on me costing me time and a lot of fustration.Good thing I brought my 1watt planet bike flashlight but doesnt help when you need both your hands for tying rope,cooking,looking for wood,or anything else in the pitch black.I DO notice that it works a lot better w/lithium batteries but I'm leaving this thing home.Prince Tec needs to recall this crappola.

The switch stopped working after only 5 uses. The only way to turn it off was to remove the batteries. The light that remained on was only as bright as a nightlight, so didn't serve any useful purpose.

Loved this little light at first but that was short lived. Switch has to be cycled through all modes each time to turn off (use mostly on low white but have to cyle through high to turn off )I can live with that and I suspect mfg keep price down by using simple electronics.
The real fault with this lamp, after about 4 hrs of use the lamp won't turn off. It goes into a rapid low output flash ( no mode for this )it won't turn off unless you remove batteries.Put in fresh batteries and it works fine, untill about 4 hrs of use an same problem again.If you left lamp on non-stop it may have a burn time that mfg claims but who leaves on non-stop. Use coupel hours here and there and you will be feeding batteries after about 4 hrs of use.

Afer several purchase of headlights...this is THE ONE to have! Energy efficent, even on low beam it lights 50 feet ahead. Comfortably light weight, but powerful. It adjusts while wearing so you keep the light where it's needed as terrain changes. AAA batteries available anywhere and lasts for days.
