Comments about Planet Bike Protege 8.0 Bike Computer: The PB Protege 8.0 is a great value bike computer. It displays a lot of info on one screen and you can toggle to find out other aggregate details like AVG MPH and Total miles (not just for a particular trip). The color of this computer is matte gray/silver. It almost looks transparent on the website picture. I like that you can buy a separate mount (from PB) and this computer can track two bicycles. I prefer computers with wire mounts over wireless bike computers because you don't have to worry about any electronic interference. This computer is simple and easy to use. The battery also seems to last a lot longer than the PB 9.0 model that also displays temperature.

That is to say when the bike is moving it runs and when you stop the computer stops. Just enter the wheel size and the time and thats all you have to do, wow I love that. The price is also great.

Comments about Planet Bike Protege 8.0 Bike Computer: This is my third Odometer. My last one was a wireless model (not Planet Bike) and I had connection problems from the start. This wired model is performing well. I can check my distance and average speed at a glance; really nice.

Comments about Planet Bike Protege 8.0 Bike Computer: I have 3 Planet Bike computers - one for each bike - and they are simple, easy to use, have 4 lines of easy to read display and no buttons to stop working. A great design. My first one is at least 5 years old and works perfectly. Forget wiz-bang and get something that works.
