What is the temperature rating? I'd like to get some equipment rated to 0 degrees farenheit. Do these blankets form one unit, or are they two blankets, sealed at their edges, each, say, 30" wide? If one blanket thickness is not rated to 0 degrees F, what is the practicality of putting on an additional two blankets, to be thicker, & therefor warmer? This is essentially a down sleeve that fits over the thermarest pad to give a little more cushioning underneath you. It does not lay on top of you to give added warmth.It will slightly increase the R-value of the mat beneath you to give you a little more insulation from the ground coldness. Two mats would fit inside it to keep the matts together. A regular width will incorporate two 20 inch mats.Answered on 9/8/2011 by Betty
