Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress:

It takes some strong lungs to inflate this pad. I got dizzy. I bought it for backpacking because it is light weight and packs small. At first it looked too narrow, but it's comfy if you don't roll around too much. The small size eliminates that big roll of pad attached to the outside of my pack.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress:

This is the PERFECT pad for almost any condition. It delivers much more comfort than the standard old-school Thermarests and is lighter compared to other brands of similar dimensions. It's the perfect match of "enough" but "not too much." It is the only pad I have and have never felt the need for another.

I use the air mattress for 9-day trips on the PCT. Pad works great, lots of cushion and my hips don't hurt. It takes a little while to inflate the mattress, but I don't consider that an issue. I liked the pad so well, I bought another one for my husband.

My wife and I used the Neo-Air Trekkers while on bicycle tour from Virginia Beach, VA to Charleston, SC. We have also used them on several car/kayak camping trips. We have experienced nothing but excellent performance from this product. Fill it with air, lay on it and let air out until you reach your comfort level. It's like having an adjustable bed in a tent.

When I'm above treeline, where the hammock cannot be used, this is the perfect ground mattress. The NeoAir yellow is too narrow, too noisey & too hard to inflate night after night. This one is perfect for when needed, not too heavy to carry as a back up and not too noisey or too narrow.

Irregular means the pad has a slight cosmetic blemish. There is no difference with the function of the pad.

I have owned several ThermaRest TrailLite mattresses and have been having trouble with them deflating while I sleep (not sure if it has a hole in it or the valve is leaky). Does anyone know if the trekker NeoAir will hold up better? I use it backpacking and in a hammock.

Most inflatable mattresses will deflate a little while you sleep. Simple physics - air gets colder and compresses outside during the night.

Fill up your mattress as soon as your set up camp. Then top off the mattress with more air just prior to laying down for the night. It should hold though the night.

The problem of deflation in all likelihood is a problem of the ambient temperature cooling at night and the air pressure inside the pad going down. The NeoAir will have a similar problem. You may want to look into a close cell mattress that are not inflated.
