Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: Love this mattress! Compared to the more expensive and slightly lighter NeoAir counterpart....I actually prefer this one because it is SO much quieter! There is none of that aweful crackling noise whenever you move and the more fabric-like surface holds you on much better. I didn't find myself slipping off at night and it is quite comfortable. (It probably wouldn't be warm enough for winter camping...but I don't camp in the winter.) I slept very well on this and am planning on getting another one for a family member.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: I used this mattress on a 1000+ mile bicycle trip on the Pacific coast. Camping almost every night, this mattress perfomed flawlessly. Extremely comfortable, no leaks, small pack size and lightweight.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: Best to fill full of air and then let air out while your laying on the mattress until you get to that perfect comfort level.

Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: The only reason I gave it one star is that I couldn't give it zero. It was wonderful for the first six nights, then the internal partitions started popping. The resultant shape was unusable. My trip was ruined. I was not that hard on it. It just started popping. I am not that heavy. This is poorly made and should be taken off the market until the problem is corrected. I am trying to get my money back.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: Airline travel necessitated packing small, light gear. It was perfect. My only complaint is that the mattress when used with my Marmot mummy bag was very noisey when I rolled over at night. I might try using a sheet between the mattress and the bag.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: I bought it because I thought it might be more durable than the regular NeoAir - and it is - but it is also slightly heavier, a downside for minimalists. Slippery for nylon tent or shelter floors and nylon bags. Still, a good value, and the inflatables cannot be beat for comfort-to-weight ratio.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: This mattress was purchased for my whitewater rafting gear because it fit my needs and worked with equipment I already owned.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress: I have been hiking and backpacking for over 35 years. I am not the kind of person that dumps my old stuff every time a new product comes around. I bought however, to replace my old 1" self inflating Therorest. Best thing I ever did. This thing blows up easily in just a few minutes. It is like sleeping on air compared to my old mat. I used it on a cold windy night in the Smokey's and was well rested for the hike out. The only thing that I would change is the air valve. This one has the valve sticking straight up so it doesn't pack as well as the old style that is parallel to the sleeping surface.

Q:
Can you explain what makes this an irregular item?1 answer
A:
Irregular means the pad has a slight cosmetic blemish. There is no difference with the function of the pad.Q:
Does this comes with a weather-resistant stuff sack?1 answer
A:
The NeoAir Trekker does not come with a stuff sac. You can purchase one:Q:
I have owned several ThermaRest TrailLite mattresses and have been having trouble with them deflating while I sleep (not sure if it has a hole in it or the valve is leaky). Does anyone know if the trekker NeoAir will hold up better? I use it backpacking and in a hammock.4 answers
A:
mine doesn't - annoying if you consider the priceA:
Most inflatable mattresses will deflate a little while you sleep. Simple physics - air gets colder and compresses outside during the night.A:
Fill up your mattress as soon as your set up camp. Then top off the mattress with more air just prior to laying down for the night. It should hold though the night.A:
The problem of deflation in all likelihood is a problem of the ambient temperature cooling at night and the air pressure inside the pad going down. The NeoAir will have a similar problem. You may want to look into a close cell mattress that are not inflated.Q:
What is the difference between the trekker and the original Neoair? I just recommended a friend purchase the Neoair. Perhaps this one would have been a better recommendation?2 answers
A:
Thermarest NeoAir Trekker Air Mattress differ from the Neoair non Trekker is that the neoair Trekker does not have a S or M just a Regular Large and Large Torso for wider shorter torsos.A:
The NeoAir Trekker series is a more rugged and durable version of the original NeoAir.
