I've never tried any high end hiking pants but these are awesome! I use them on my trail runs and they are holding up great, wind/rain/snow/. Comments about White Sierra Sierra Point Convertible Pant- 32 in - Men's: Bought these for a week long fly-in fishing trip in Northern Quebec. We had some hot days and some cold days. These pants were great in both situation, due to the bugs I did not zip to shorts only, the long pants were nice and comfortable when it was very hot, and protecting me from the flies. They were also great when hiking through some woods (VERY THICK BRUSH). I would definitely pick up another pair and highly recommend them. Pros
