I wore these pants out in the adirondacks this early may. Hiked 4 high peaks in them and they held up great!! Great wicking quality. I really like that you can get the pant legs off over your boots when switching to convertible mode. They also have good Velcro at the pant leg bottoms to synche against your boot keeping debris out.

I've hiked many miles, in wet and dry weather with these, and so far they've held up fine. I like the fit and the light weight. But..because the material is thin, I'm not sure how long they will hold up compared to other brands.

These pants are made of good material and water beads up on them quite nicely. But for me, they are baggy and a little longer than the 32 in. inseam I am used to; the material will bunch around my shoes or boots. The belt provided does not stay as snug as I'd like either. But I do like that the belt can be completely removed. I am comparing this to a pair of Columbia trail convertibles I have. I think Columbia fits me better, but the material these White Seirra's are made from do not show wear as easily. I am using both those pairs multiple days a week as a part of my job which requires the use of a harness 6-10 hours a day. Even though the fit is a little off for me, I feel this pair will perform well enough.

I wear a women's size 10, but current styles do not fit my shape (small waist, larger hips). These pants (men's M) fit great. The length is long; however, the adjustible velcro at the ankle solves that. I plan to wear these pants while touring Northern Scotland the end of June 2011.

I like this pants a lot. The zippers zip easily, so converting to shorts is easy. The pockets are good size and placed well. The pants are good in the water. I just went on a canoe trip with these and I'm not sure if they were supposed to be water resistant or waterproof, but the water didn't seem to soak in and so they dried very very quickly/instantly. The material is light weight and is great for summer use. The only thing that keeps me from giving these pants 5 starts are two minor issues: first the belt that comes with the pants isn't great... it tends to loosen up as you wear it. the second thing is the pants seem large around the lower leg which sort of gives them a baggy feel... sort of. neither of these issues are too bothersome.

Really like the pants. The 32 inseam is a bit longer than an actual 32, but works well with the velcro closure at the ankle to tighten up. Overall the bit of extra length comes in handy for hiking, etc.

Use in a wheelchair; longer inseam of shorts appreciated.
Would prefer a snap instead of a button at the waist.

Got these pants as an everyday alternative to the regular Scout Pants that cost much more. They look almost like them, and fit great. We went on a hike and they were soaked from sweat, stood by fire (not to close...they are not cotton) and dried quickly! Great Pants, recommend them highly!

I bought 6 different zip off pants from different manufacturers and catalogs, Sent them all back for poor quality, fit or design. These pants are great. Well made with generous pockets, sturdy zippers and a free belt. I'm going to Alaska this summer and these are the only pants I'm bringing.
