Comments about Giro Privateer Cycling Shoe for Men:

Found thse shoes by accident. I now wear a Sidi Dominator narrow because I have to wear a men's shoe but have a narrow foot. The Privateer is half the price and equally narrow. IN fact, the Privateer fits better than the new pair of Sidi's I got in the very same size; the new Sidi's are not as narrow as the older pair and don't fit as well. Not used them on a ride yet as we still have snow but am looking forward too. Horray for Giro!

I typically fit a 46 in shimano and street shoes. These were very tight in the toe box.

Comments about Giro Privateer Cycling Shoe for Men:

I received my shoes (Black/white) at a great price here at Campmor and not matched anywhere else. I use them for road biking since I prefer spd pedals. They are lighter than most other mtb shoes at this price and have met all of my expectations. I immediately took them on a 38 mile ride and can report that they felt every bit as comfortable as my two-year old mtb lace-ups.

Comments about Giro Privateer Cycling Shoe for Men:

Great mtn bike shoe! Can get in and out of easily and they are very snug with both Velcro and ratchet strap. I guess the only thing I would have to put against em would be the plastic sole.

What size fits 10.5? Are these unisex sizes or Men's sizes? I'm new to cycling shoes and don't understand the EU sizes.

          • Q:

Does the Giro Privateer size run small? My street shoe size is 8 1/2 medium and currently use a Shimano SPD 42 shoe, with no problem. Is a Giro 42 a good match or would a 42.5 be more appropriate?

              A:

The Giros are among the most accurately sized shoes. If you use a Shimano SPD 42 a 42 in the Giro would work.
