Comments about Giro Riela Cycling/Spin Shoe (formally known as Reva) - Women's:

Good shoe for spinning. I've only had them for a month, but no issues so far. Easy to clip onto pedals, although it will take some practice. The cleats which have to be purchased separate are easy to install. The shoe is comfortable and I did purchase 1/2 size up. Easy to walk around (gym) with.

I use for spinning. It was easy to apply the SPD cleats that need to be purchased separately. Sizing is tricky...I wear 37.5-38 or 7.5-8 US and purchased these in 39.5. I could have used the 40 but I wear a thin sock so they're ok. They have a tread which makes them less awkward to walk around in. Great looking shoe.

Comments about Giro Riela Cycling/Spin Shoe (formally known as Reva) - Women's:

This shoe is meant for every kind of cycling! I just got these and it is winter so I have only used them for cycling classes but can't wait to break them out on my bike this spring! The Shimano cleat fits perfectly in them, as I am sure other cleats would be fine too but can say for sure the Shimanos work. The cleat is recessed so you can walk around anywhere on them if you wished but the sole is very rigid so you wouldnt want to do a whole lot of walking in them.

I was having a lot of foot pain after prolonged periods of standing in cycling classes and this has remedied that 100%! Great support for your feet and clipping them into pedals really allows you to engage all of your leg muscles. I totally recommend them if you've been cycling in athletic shoes. They clip in and out very easily.

The tongue does feel very rigid and seems like it would cut into your leg when pedaling but I wear no show socks with them and they havent bothered my legs at all like I thought they might. There is a divot in the tongue that seems to help with that so even it feels rigid when you first get them on, it may not be a problem like one might think. But again I've only done cycling classes in them so I haven't worn them for more than an hour yet.

I have narrow feet but it seems like there would be plenty of room in the toe box for a wider foot.

In short, these are great and you can't beat the price!

Comments about Giro Riela Cycling/Spin Shoe (formally known as Reva) - Women's:

I was looking for a well-made, inexpensive clip-in shoe for spinning classes 3-4 times a week, and Riela is it. Spin bikes found in most gyms are compatible with standard 2-hole SPD cleats, which I didn't know at first. I ordered and returned several different pairs of shoes before finding these. I really like the form factor of Giro's road cycling shoes, but they all take 3-hole cleats and cannot be adapted for 2-hole cleats. The Riela shoe is meant for mountain biking (which typically uses 2-hole cleats), but has the form factor of a road cycling shoe as well as raised treads on the bottom. The treads actually make it much easier to walk around my gym wearing the shoes, because the cleats become recessed and aren't in direct contact with the floor. My SPD cleats installed easily and I'm happy with the performance and style of the shoes.

I owned these shoes previously and they were stolen from my car. I looked at several other shoes in town and didn't like the shoes available so I searched the internet to find these again. So happy I found them. I use them for spin class three times a week and am in the process of breaking them in (they are still a little stiff). They really help me during my workout by helping to stabalize my feet. Because I no longer have to use the muscles in my legs and feet to keep my foot flat in the peddle, I no longer have foot and calf muscle pain/cramps. The shoes also help with the 'pulling' motion that you are supposed to have. I have been spinning for 4 years. Since starting to use these shoes, I have been able to put more resistance on during spin class so my workouts have been much better.

I bought this shoe for spinning. I usually wear a size 8.5 or 9 and the size 41 shoe fit great. You have to get the spinning cleats added on to this shoe, they don't come with, so you may want to factor this in to your overall costs. It's an added bonus that the insole is removable so I can put my own arch support in the shoes, which really helps with the overall comfort. Definitely recommend this shoe!

I use these shoes everyday when I commute on my road bike. They have SPD cleats in them and work extremely well.

It's a great shoe overall, nothing wrong with it. It is suited to people with slimmer feet and ankles (the tongue is a little long so if you have any extra chub on your ankles it'll cut into your skin) so just make sure you try it on before you buy.

Super convenient and VERY easy to cycle and walk in. Excellent casual shoe.

This would be an appropriate choice for spinning class. The shoes do not include cleats so you would have to purchase SPD compatible cleats locally.
