I really like these shorts for commuting, and I wear them under my street clothes. The are well ventilated (probably see-thru!) and are relatively short in length. I also have the Pearl Izumi and they are great too--I can't decide which I like better at this point. I'd say that the Garneaus are more comfortable, and the PI are better padded.

Don't pay any attention to the strange size chart. The smalls might fit the family cat. The "patented" high tech chamois is much like a beach towel then the contoured and detailed item found in other products. I've been riding happily in the Pearl Izumi inner short purchased on the same order.

For a 32" waist size the chart says small. I had my suspicions, but I went ahead and followed the experts. I would be suprised if my cat minus a few pounts could squeeze into these... The Perfo 3D chamois is not nearly as trim or contoured (more beach towel like) than the Pearl Izumi inner-shorts.
