Hiking the 2170 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine is not easy. Hiking it with a video camera and film gear is even harder. Mike 'Lion King' Daniel did just that and made what maybe the best Appalachian Trail film ever. It is not a How To film but a This Is What It Is Like film. You get to meet and see the characters that roam the trail, both human and non human, and share in their fun and some of their tough days too. The visuals in this film are stunning in their beauty and the soundtrack is so good that it can stand alone. This film has it all so take a hike with the 'Lion King' and enjoy a great film.

Comments about Mike Daniel Walking With Freedom A Hike Along the Appalachian Trail - DVD:

This was not that interesting. Good nature shots but [$]for an hour and a half of a guy carrying a camera? Not very creative imo and seems like a ripoff. It says proceeds go to the American Heart Association. I would like to see proof of that.

Not near the quality I expected from some reviews. Guess I've watched too much Nature & Nat Geos.

Comments about Mike Daniel Walking With Freedom A Hike Along the Appalachian Trail - DVD:

Conflict of interest maybe? I know Lion King and absolutely love the young Brother. He's a great guy and is truly committed to hiking. I'm delighted that Campmor decided to sell his product. It's definitely top shelf. It'll be shown to some Park Naturalists I know (with hope, it'll be seen in state park gift shops) and my neighborhood kids and grand nephews are going to see it as well. :)
