One reason we deicded to get these was that they advertised these as having an "idiot cord". You can see it in the picture too. It's th elong cord that you put on your wrists. That way when you take off the gloves they can hang by this cord and you won't lose them. I called customer service and they said they were supposed to have the cord. They sent out another pair, but that too came without a cord. I happened to be at the store and I checked every pair they had in stock, none had the cord.

We had to return these because the palm size did not allow my sons thumb to completely extend away from his palm in order to grasp objects/ski poles/etc. He's only 9 and true to size and we even ordered the largest size (10-11).

Ordered a size large for my 11 year old. They were so small he couldn't even get them on. Size large according to the packaging should fit 12-14 years old. They looked more like they were sized for 5-6 years. Don't know if we just got one that was sized incorrectly. They were marked "LG" on the interior tag.

I tried a very nice pair of snow gloves from REI, but they got wet inside. I ordered these based on the feedback and I am pleased to report that I can send my 8 yr old son out for hours to play in the snow (he digs forts, makes snow balls - really gets his gloves in the snow) and they do not get wet inside. However, we had to cut off the big bulky loop thing on the cuff, because it would not allow him to fit his jacket sleeve over for a tight fit. We almost returned, because he got snow in the cuff, but we cut that loop off and now we have no problem - YEAH! I hope they last the rest of the season. We live in the mountains of WV and it is very cold so I want him to have warm gloves for safety. This completes his outfit (wool long johns, -40 snow boots, wool hat, wp snow pants and jacket and balacava).
