X 2 in.: I needed a water-resistant container to protect my essentials (cell phone, money, debit cards, iPod) as I bike to work. With the risk of becoming drenched in the rain, I was pointed toward an Otterbox. It is a godsend!

Comments about Otter Products Otterbox 2000 - 7 in. X 4.5 in. X 2 in.: I bought the Otterbox case for protecting my pocket-sized digital camera on a canoeing trip on the Buffalo River. My canoe flipped twice over the course of the trip, but my camera stayed safe and dry inside of the padded Otterbox that was tied to my gear. The case was also easy to open at the right times, which allowed me to have my camera at hand for some great shots of the river.

Comments about Otter Products Otterbox 2000 - 7 in. X 4.5 in. X 2 in.: I use the OB 2000 to protect solar panel battery charge controllers in my field research. The panels are waterproof, my equipment is waterproof, but the circuitry for the charge controller is not. I drilled a hole in one end of the box to run my input and output wires through, and then siliconed the hole around the wires closed. Works great! It's a simple, effective product that I trust in using with my work. I particularly like that there are belt/securing loops on both ends of the box for securing the box, and that the interior of the box is lined with thin foam to reduce the likelihood of damaging contents.

Yes, the iphone will fit in this case. You can also look at Pelican brand boxes. The Otter Box does not have any kind of clip to attach to a belt loop.Answered on 12/7/2011 by Betty
