Can you mate the regular one with the long one (even if you dont zip it all the way up) ? There are 2 zipper pulls. When you fully unzip the bag you would separate the top from the bottom and fully open the bag. To mate 2 bags lay one over the other fully opened and zip the perimeter of the bags together. If the bags you received do not have double zipper pulls, this would be a defect.
