I use mine for getting to sleep and sleeping in very hot and humid tropical climates without a/c. Sits or clamps to a VARIETY of surfaces and supports without falling over. The quiet hum is gentle "white noise" aiding sleeping. Just bought 4 more for my wife's university team going to Uganda to work with a rural education institution.
