Comments about Seirus The Original Quick Draw Hat: I bought this to replace my beloved seirus quick clava which is wearing thin after more than 10 years, and which unfortunately is no longer available. I prefer the beanie shape of the quick clava to the faceted cut of the quick draw since I wear a bike helmet over my hat most days. I found that the odd shape of the quick draw still fits under a helmet just fine, and while the neck gaiter seems a little tight and undersized compared to the quick clava (which may just be stretched out from years of use), the earflaps are a welcome improvement that more than make up for any other deficiencies.

I never use the roll-up feature on the balaclava piece--when it's rolled up, the hat doesn't protect my ears from wind. Fabric isn't 100% breathable over your mouth (might be better if you're not panting), but it's better than others I've tried. Overall, warm, durable and comfy.

This item looks like just what I need to protect my face in frigid weather but I have found that whenever I cover my nose & mouth with a scarf, bandanna, or anything else, my glasses start steaming up! Will this item be any different?

Seirus The Original Quick Draw Hat would provide a lot better protection than a bandana. This quickhat is warmer. As for glasses fogging up. You may want to use a product called "cat crap" 83081 which will reduce the fogging problem.Answered on 2/11/2011 by Steve from Campmor
