The Marmot Plasma 15 Degree Sleeping Bag Long is one of the most technologically advanced bags in the Marmot sleeping bag collection. Innovative design features combine to make the warmest, lightest, most functional bag possible.
  • 900 fill power down insulation features the largest down cluster with the lowest trace of feather - the highest fill power available.
  • Insotect® Flow vertical baffle system optimizes thermal efficiency while assuring uniform heat flow. Reduces overall weight and stabilizes the down insulation. Vertical baffles contour to the shape of the body for greater comfort.
  • Wrap-Around Footbox vaults the foot area to prevent the down from compressing, extending comfort range.

  • Hood draw cord.
  • Insulated collar with easy access cord.
  • Velcro®-free face muff.
  • Two hang loops.
  • Left zip only.

Comments about Marmot Plasma 15 Degree Sleeping Bag Long:

I got this in time for an early October trip with campsites around 9500' in Northern NV. I'm not small, 6'5"-260, it was comfortable and roomy as far as mummies go. It weighs hardly anything and compresses down to practically nothing. I stayed warm enough that the zipper was open most of the time in sub freezing temps. Expensive but worth it.

Comments about Marmot Plasma 15 Degree Sleeping Bag Long:

Very warm and roomy. I'm 6'2" and the long is longer than I need it. Probably could've gotten by with the regular. I've taken it on three backpacking trips and the only gripe is the zipper snags fairly easy but it weighs less than two pounds so who cares? Vertical baffles really do help regulate temperature.

Comments about Marmot Plasma 15 Degree Sleeping Bag Long:

I wanted a bag in the 15 degree range that was lightweight, packed down small and was warm and comfortable. I hit a home run with this bag. Way more roomy than my blue kazoo, the footbox is very roomy and comfortable. Very well thought out bag. Yes, it's expensive but the best usually costs a little more. It's lighter and compacts smaller than any other bag in its temp range but its somehow roomy and comfortable too. It has a great drawstring system that is easy to adjust in the dark.

Comments about Marmot Plasma 15 Degree Sleeping Bag Long:

Purchased for backpacking in the mountains, three season, was very comfortable in the Cascades, never zipped it up. Probably too much bag for September conditions. Roomy, lightweight, leaves lots of room in my backpack for other items. Did have to be careful with zippers, they were quick to snag. But like the bag. Also own the 40 degree bag, which I also like a lot.

I am 6'6" tall. Will this bag fit me, or will my feet be jammed in the bottom?

      A:

When a bag states it will fit to 6'6" that means your feet will not be pushing into the bottom of the bag. 6'7" and there will begin to be pressure exerted against the bottom of the bag producing cold spots.
