Best Uses Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: Washed and dried per instructions, then air dried for a couple of days before packing. It was packed in a plastic bag inside my duffel, as I pack everything for my bicycle trips. When I unpacked it, it was soaking wet, and stayed wet for the entire week-long trip.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: As recommended by the attached user tag, this pillow will expand and fluff up very nicely if washed and dried before its first use. It actually dried much faster in a standard clothes dryer than I expected. Very comfortable. The large size is best suited for car camping or shorter backpacking ventures. Very pleased.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: I've used this pillow on 3 recent trips and it's is quickly becoming a must have item (along with coffee)! Packs tightly, is lightweight, and reasonably comfortable after a couple of hours De-compressing

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: It's soft but doesn't compress too much to be on the ground

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: This pillow is excellent. It does not achieve full loft for several hours after unfolding, but even when opened and repacked every day will still fluff to suit most users in less than an hour. The nature of the foam inside is very controllable (fluffy vs. low and hard), which makes this item ideal for diverse users. The large size packs down reasonably well, but too big for most backpackers (I use the large for river expeditions - L packs fine in a drybag). Mine have not yet been used during very cold weather, but the warm-weather fabric side breathes very well on hot nights. I replaced my own pillow at home with this little wonder because of its fine qualities, though I suggest doing this with one of the more conventional patterns if you're married!

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: This pillow was easy to compact to a smaller size. Only con about it was that it takes a while to dry after washing. Other then that its great.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: Could be better for the cost not verry technical for a company that puts out great gear. I could have used a piece of foam with the same results.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest Large Compressible Pillow: Bought the large version of the pillow for family camping trip, based on previous experiences with small and medium size in backcountry. Love the compact design and the warmth it kicks back. Would not pack the large pillow on a three day trip into the woods, but for family car camping, it beats bringing the pillows from the house.

Being a compressable pillow, does it lose it's shape overtime?1 answer

This pillow has loose blocks of foam inside of it. As long as it is not stored rolled up for a long time it pops open to a nice comfy pillow. It takes a little fluffing or a few minutes in the drier on low heat to get it to full shape the first time you use it, or if you do store it rolled up for a while but eventually it comes back.
