Comments about Byer The Hammock Sock: Great idea. Don't tell Byer, but I use it on my cotton Mayan hammock I got in the Yucatan many years ago. Now I can keep the hammock up for extended periods, and just draw the sock down over it to protect the hammock overnight, rather than taking it down. Pros

The Byer Hammock Sock is designed to keep your hammock clean and protect from UV rays which would degrade the nylon fabric over a period of time. It's really not designed to keep it dry as it's not seam sealed and has an open end.Answered on 4/12/2011 by Bob from Campmor
