Comments about Sevylor Rio Inflatable Canoe: It was great to take into the boundary waters for 3 weeks on a solo trip! Lightweight for portaging fully inflated (held over top of head). Caught a lot of fish in it, but you have to be careful about hooks and sharp, large northern pike teeth! Good places to attach an anchor or stringer. You ride low low low... can be hard to get in and out if old and fat like me (250 lbs)! Great boat though. You can stand up on the floor on top of rocks and it holds up. You can add or remove air while in the boat (not recommended I'm sure)... but on hot sunny days the pontoons will expand fast... and when sun drops... so do pontoons...fast! Always keep a pump in the boat. You can rock this baby on the water and it won't tip over, but if against a wind you better have a kayak paddle because the wind WILL push it. Great boat if you need a lightweight, dependable craft. Just takes time to pack it back up, letting it dry first is recommended if putting away for any length of time. If camping along waterways, need to pull it up away from water's edge because it may blow away! Displaying review 1 |

Is this the Rio model that comes with a removable skeg? When Coleman bought the company they apparently have removed it. Too bad because inflatables are hard enough to keep in a straight line. Thanks.
