Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot:

Arrived on time, made in China, product sufficient to support 75 lb youth. Folds then rolls for storage in original box. Need to place on rug for in home use to protect wood floors. Compared to another Campmor cot purchased 20 years ago and still in use, this cot is lower quality, narrower.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot:

I purchased this cot for a varmint hunting trip. I knew I'd have a level concrete floor on which to lay, so I could get away with owning a less expensive cot.

The product is good for the price. I can set it up by myself, it's reasonably comfortable, and it can be broken down quickly. I wouldn't recommend it for an uneven/sloped site out of fear that the legs might get deformed. (I'm a 6'3"/225# guy who moves a lot in his sleep.) Who knows, maybe I'm underestimating the strength of the components?

It doesn't fold up into a small enough package to be for anything other than a camping-from-your-car adventure.

    I hope that helps.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot:

I purchased this cot for tent camping and also to use as a guest bed in my tiny apartment. I ended up using it for the first time after arriving at a campground very late at night in the rain. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up and also that is was so sturdy. It fit perfectly in my 5x7 tent and I slept very comfortably on it. Its nice that it sits fairly low to the ground, allowing more headroom in the tent. Temps were in the low 50's during the nights I used it, so I added a sleeping pad on top for warmth and it was fine. I was also pleased with how compact it is when folded up.

Cover fabrics are 100% polyester that is naturally mildew and fade resiatand. Should they become soiled, they can be hand-wash cleaned with mild detergent and thoroughly rinsed for cleaning.
