Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot: Will be used mostly for car camping a few times a year. Bought this one for my wife, to go with the one I've had for a few years. She finally got tired of sleeping on the ground.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot: I purchased this cot for a trip to the mountains of Guatemala. It came quickly and is easy to set up. It is very lightweight which is important since I will be hiking it in up the mountains. I just wish that it folded a little more compactly, it is still pretty long when all folded up. Very comfortable though.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot: This is just what I was looking for it's well made and easy to assemble. I can use it at home as an extra bed or take it car camping and sleep in comfort off the ground.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot: This cot arrived earlier than expected and exceeded all my expectations. I actually tried a friends out last year, and decided to order it based on that experience. It is actually a new design. It is easier to set up (no trouble finding the leg holes anymore) and more comfortable (the middle support fabric isn't so tight). I will be using this up in the mountains of Guatemala and appreciate the lightweight and compactness of this style. I have to backpack all my equipment in so this was a must.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot: I use this cot for occasional 'car camping' and odd overnights. While it could be packed for short hikes, its kind of heavy for backpacking. Great by itself, but if you throw on a pad it is mighty comfy. This would be perfect for a canoe trip.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot: Stitching streched a little along middle edge but never tore. Used on bike trip eight nights and was rested every morning. I place a 1" sleep mat on top then my sleeping bag and good night Im out.

Comments about Byer Allagash Plus Cot: Fits great in our tent - two of us use a three man tent. Low height from ground, and cot legs don't tear at tent floor. Incredibly comfortable. I am 6'3", 180 lb., and it fits me well. Also, compact - so packs easily in our Prius. I'l never sleep on the ground/thermarest again when car camping or on river trips - why did I wait until I was past 60 yrs old to get a cot!!
