Comments about Byer Tri-Lite XL Folding Stool:

I could not stretch it enough to snap the seat on. Asked my son for help. He managed to do it but it bit him and took off a chunk of skin. I am leaving it set up with a stack of heavy books on the seat. Hope this makes it relax enough to be usable. It is much lighter and more comfortable than the triangular stools.

Comments about Byer Tri-Lite XL Folding Stool:

We were looking for compact chairs that are small enough to fit into a day pack or book bag but also comfortable enough to sit in while waiting in long lines and this Byer Tri-Lite XL Folding Stool fits the bill perfectly after trying out many different portable chairs/stools. For larger folks, the XL is the only way to go for better stability at the base plus the seat is wider. My wife fits in the regular size just fine but if you butt is wider than 11 inches go with the XL version or the support bars will not feel too good on the butt-ox after only a few minutes. The seat material is hard to stretch over the bars the first few times, but as the instructions indicate, this is done on purpose so that over time, the seat material does not sag way down as it stretches out. Very well thought out and a very good product. All the other portable chairs/stools we purchased to test out will be given as Christmas gifts because the Byer Tri-Lite XL Folding Stool is the keeper for us!

I used the stool at scout camp because some activities adults sit on the sideline and this was perfect to get off of your feet. It strapped easily to my day pack and was so lite I did not know it was there.

Comments about Byer Tri-Lite XL Folding Stool:

My husband and I are retirees and can't walk for long distances without being able to sit for a while. That is what we purchased these for. It was very hard to set up, seat would not snap into position. We have kept them up on the inside and continued to sit on them, hoping to loosen them up. So far it hasn't helped. We may not be able to take them on our Alaskan holiday in September.

Comments about Byer Tri-Lite XL Folding Stool:

This stool is definitely lightweight and well made, but the footprint is very narrow compared to other 'tripod type' stools like this. The result is that it's very tippy, particularly if you are sitting on it on anything other than a hard surface - the legs will dig into soil/sand/snow and tip over easily.
