The Therm-A-Rest NeoAir mattress utilizes two patent-pending internal technologies, making it up to three times warmer and far more stable than any other uninsulated air mattress available. And when it comes to space in your pack, you'll appreciate that it's no bigger than a one-liter water bottle. Revolutionary by design, the gossamer NeoAir mattress makes comfort one less thing you'll need to compromise when traveling Fast and Light.
  • Ultralight and Compact: Weighs just 9 oz. and packs down to the size of a 1-liter water bottle.
  • Unrivaled Warmth: The Thermarest patent-pending reflective barrier returns warmth to your body and reduces heat loss to the ground, keeping you three times warmer than any other uninsulated air mattress.
  • Sleep Stable: When inflated, patent-pending Triangular Core Matrix technology creates an internal truss system, resulting in the most stable non-self-inflating air mattresses.
  • Lasting Performance: Achieving thermal efficiency without down or fiber insulation means the NeoAir can be inflated directly without the added weight of a pump, or worrying about exhaled moisture wetting insulation and decreasing performance.
  • Weight: 9 oz.
  • Size: 20 in. x 47 in.
  • Rolled Size: 9 in. x 3.3 in.
  • R-Value: 2.5
  • Thickness:2.5 in.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Mattress Small:

My husband and I--now in our 50's--are half done section hiking the AT. The neoair pad is the lightest, most comfortable and easiest to pack of any pad. My husband's old neoair (2 years old) developed a leak which we couldn't locate, so we replaced it with a new one. Light weight gear has become much more important to us as we get older.

Very nice and comfortable sleeping pad. Extremely light and packs down small. Definitely better then the oldschool Thermarest I used to carry at twice the weight and packed size.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Mattress Small:

Used this for 12 nights on the John Muir Trail. Was great till the fifth night when I woke up in the morning on a deflated pad. Thought I'd neglected to close the valve thoroughly. But there was a slow leak that got a little faster each night. Needed to inflate it once or twice during the night or just sleep on the deflated pad. Yes, I will contact Campmor and Thermarest to let them know of my disappointment with this product. I used it only inside a tent with a floor that was on Tyvek footprint. I only weight 110 pounds, so there was no reason for its failure.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Mattress Small:

Great product for those willing to be careful with their gear. Do not use as a chair with a chair kit, and clear area of rocks, sticks, etc., as this will puncture more easily than heavier pads.

A piece of duct tape nicely patches it up long-term though if you do puncture it.

This is a great pad, comfy, packs extremely small, blows up in about 15 breaths for me. Easy to roll back up, easily fits in the seperately sold pouch. I used it about a 2 dozen times so far, seems durable.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Mattress Small:

I was using a self inflating thermarest and switched to this for back packing. Extremely light, easy to inflate and packs super small. Kept me warm and is as (or maybe even more) comfortable than the self-inflating style. Short length may not be for everyone - if you can spare the weight, might consider full length model.

Comments about Therm-A-Rest Thermarest NeoAir Mattress Small:

I reduced my backpack weight by a pound switching to the NeoAir. It blows up easily, my hips never touch the ground on it, and it packs up so small and light, I can fit it in a backpack pocket. Just have to remember to reduce the inflation if leaving it blown-up during the day so it won't expand more in the heat. Don't know how long it will last, it's only been on one week-long trip - so far so good.

The Neo Air mattress does not provide enough insulation for use in very cold temperatures. It would not be comfortable in temperatures below 35 degrees.

The "features" tab calls this a stable non-self-inflating. You must blow it up; there is no foam inside.
