I just bought one of these, used it yesterday, and here's what I think; First off, let's get the negative out of the way. This hammock is really not made for hot weather camping. The fabric does not breathe very well, and I found myself sweating profusely, well into the night. That being said, I have to add that I was camping in central North Carolina in July,in a heat index of 105, so I'm sure that did not help matters much.

Now for the positive;The Hammock itself is very easy to use, taking literally less than 10 minutes to set up, and I probably could have cut that down to 3 minutes if I would have purchased the slap straps to go with it instead of rope. getting into the hammock takes a few practice tries, but by the next morning I was getting in and out of it like a pro.

I am a 6'3, 250 lbs man who is recovering from surgery on a ruptured L5 last summer, so I need to make sure my back is well taken care of on camping trips. I have never felt so good in the morning (despite that heat problem) as I did after sleeping in this hammock! Absolutely no back problems whatsoever when I woke up. I considered going a cheaper route on this piece of gear, but this is well worth the expense. The only thing I probably would have done different is move up to the larger model for a little extra room, but I dont think it's going to be a problem in the least bit.

Good backpacking hammock. No complaints. Solid construction. Will last for a long time. What i like best about it is that its packing size and weight while small does not offset the quality.

Hammocks are all the rage, and for good reason. I really like the design of the ENO hammock: it *really* does fit into it's bag.
I have used this hammock for daytime lounging and as an alternative to a tent in hiking. When hiking, if it is cold, you will need a sleeping bag; your back side is exposed through the hammock. I tried it with a ground pad and a blanket, and was slightly chilled. (The inflatable ground pads do fit easily into the hammock and provide insulation as well as more width to the hammock)

The only Con is the karabiners on the ends of the hammock are jagged, and will be rough with any straps or cordage you put in them. I removed the karabiners that came with the hammock and put some of my own that won't tear at any webbing. You could easily sand any burred metal though with some sandpaper.

Just what the Boy Scouts are using on weekend campouts. Very light weight, easy to assemble and hang. Need to purchase extra tarp or covering for rainy nights.
