Many of my fellow Scouters have this Hammock Tarp so I knew exactly what I was getting! I used it on a family campout and had it set up all week. I plan to take it on the AT with me next week and on the Long Trail in VT the week after but I won't be bringing the Stuff Sack as it doesn't fit in it unless it's folded exactly as it came...which doesn't happen!

Purchased this as an addition to my backpack hammock. I no longer tent camp and find hammock sleeping much more comfortable. After testing this rainfly during a very rainy day, it kept me dry with no leaks at the seam. The trick is to keep it low enough to the hammock to protect from the wind. The design is much better than a plain tarp and I love the fact it is light weight. I also use this when it is not raining as protection from critters that fall from trees, like ticks!

The only draw back, and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars.....the price.

Good rain cover, NO storm shelter. If you hang your hammock close enough it will keep you out of angled rain. The line tensioning buckles are a good idea but don't lock well enough (line slips). I do recommend you get six sturdy tent pegs to go with this tarp so you can peg it down properly in windy conditions.

I bought this for my son last year. he is a boy scout and goes camping quite often. We already had 2 ENO singlenest hammocks in our backyard, so my husband suggested we get him the rainfly and ENO's guardian bugnet for his birthday a couple months ago...and boy was he happy! He doesn't even take his tent camping anymore. According to him, all the ENO gear is smaller and lighter than a tent. Since he is off the ground he never gets wet. great purchase!
*We are getting him the ENO Ember underquilt this year for christmas!

Ok tarp for hammock if not expecting storm. The tarp is small and will not fully cover the sides with you in the hammock.
