This was a good investment and great addition to my camping gear. I bought the 48" to conserve space and weight. The women's specific pad is 66" which will be sufficient for you at 5' 8". Generally you do not need to have you head on the pad. The head has a pillow under it so the woman's would be your best choice.Answered on 9/21/2012 by Steve from Campmor
