A:
The best way to use these is once in camp lay the pad out and open the valve. Let it sit for a 1/2 hour while you attend to other camp setting up chores. After the 1/2 hour the pad will have inflated to a certain degree. Just top off the pad to firm it up with a couple lungs full of air. Additionally when you get it new leave unrolled and the valve open over night to let the foam that makes up the interior of the pad expand from its store compresses state.Answered on 12/21/2012 by Steve from Campmor
