Comments about Columbia Sportswear Columbia Reactor 35 Degree Sleeping Bag:

I bought 2 of these. One for me and one for my son. I'm 6' 1" with pretty wide shoulders. The bag was very comfortable. We were hammock camping in about 50 degree weather and I wasn't cold at all. My son is 5' 8" and still growing like a weed, so both bags were the long version. We got these for backpacking, so size and weight were important to us. The bag will compress down to 11" x 6" without feeling like you're going to break the straps. You can probably go smaller. It fits easily in our packs and is light, but you still feel like you have a bag with substance. It's definitely a good bag for the price.

I bought the bag to take camping with my Scouts and wanted something like that would fit in my pack. It fit nicely and the weight was great.

The down side is that the temperature rating was not even close to accurate. At 50 degrees it was really cold and was one of the worst couple night's sleep I've ever had in a tent.

This was perfect for a 4-day hike on the Inca Trail. Since we were interested in carrying as little weight as possible, this bag definitely fit the bill. It is instantly warm when you get inside thanks to the reflective heat surface that Columbia is known for now. Very light, waterproof, and comfortable.

I used this when it was 45 degrees out and I was warm the whole night. If its any colder just use a sleeping pad and you should be fine. Can't beat the price of this sleepingbag.

                            A:

This bag stuffs down to 7 x 16. A compression would shave off an inch or two with length. This would be a suitable stuff size for backpacking.
