Just like the adult Yukon Classic but sized for the young man, 13 and older. He will stay warm and dry, when it's cold and wet, in the Marmot Yukon Jr. Classic Down Insulated Parka. Face the fiercest cold while wrapped in the warmth of 650 fill goose down. Marmot MemBrain fabric ensures waterproof breathable protection from rain and snow while allowing interior moisture to evaporate. Preserve body heat with the down-filled draft tube behind the zipper. On days when the weather moderates, detach the zip-off, down-filled hood. Keep ID and ski pass secure in the zip-close chest pocket. Seal out wind and cold with adjustable Velcro® fastener closure and elastics cuffs, and elastic draw cord hem.

I haven't had a chance to see if its waterproof but it will be perfect for cold, windy NH winters. I am a 5'1 woman. The XL is too big but I love it just the same.

I got this great Marmot coat for [$] - it was actually a boys coat for ages 13 and up. I think Marmot is a little insane for making a purple coat for teenage boys but I certainly benefited!I love the coat - it's very difficult to find a down coat that is also waterproof. I got rained on in this coat and didn't feel a thing. And I was warm. I did order an XXL at first, and it was too big even though the measurements seem to correspond to a woman's medium. I re-ordered an XL and it's perfect.

Comments about Marmot Yukon Classic Down Insulated Parka - Kid's: Good package for the price of [$] if you need to buy a 650 weight waterproof down coat & can live with the cons I mention below. Well constructed with durable outer shell material. Fit of the body is much bigger than a normal kid's XL, almost the size of a men's small. Must be American kids are getting fatter in the middle. Hood is much too big, enough room to go over a ski helmeted head, leaving way too much room under normal use over a hat for a comfortable fit & keep warm. Jacket does not have the important powder skirt as advertised, a reason I ordered this coat because of this feature, a big disappointment, had to tie the non-elastic waist cord tighter to try to keep draft out, because the body is so roomy, this makes the coat much less comfortable, along with the overly roomy body, they make this coat not as warm as a 650 down waterproof should be in windy condition.

The previous answer to this question is incorrect. This is NOT for small children. I wear a size Small ladies, and based on the reviews for this jacket I ordered the size Large for me.
It was HUGE. The sleeves hung well past my fingertips.
I would say the Large size could potentially fit a men's Medium, honestly. Or the XL might fit a men's Medium. It depends on your shape. Either way, these are absolutely not for little kids. They are for larger teenagers, or adults.
