Comments about Redfeather Recreation II 30 Snowshoe for Men: Beginner at Snowshoeing. These seem like a great starter set of shoes. They had a good price and were Made in the USA. The adjustment straps take a little getting used to, they seem finnicky, but so did the other pair I've tried. The only negative I can think of is that my heels seemed to push out the back, so it felt pigeon-toed. That could just have been me getting used to setting the straps right though. All in all I am really happy with this purchase, and like I said, Made in the USA. Neat!

Comments about Redfeather Recreation II 30 Snowshoe for Men: Red Feather snowshoes have worked well for me in the past. This is the third pair of Red Feather's in my household. My only concern on this version is the binding latch. The rear strap is made of a rubbery material that simply pulls through a latch buckle and hooks over a small post. There is nothing in the latching system to lock it in place. It seems like it will come unlatched easily and frequently but I could be wrong. I checked lots of other snowshoe brands, some being far more expensive, and they all had the same latching system for the rear strap. I haven't tried them out yet as I am still waiting for enough snow, but all of my hiking is off trail through woods, fields, and rolling terrain.

Rated for weight range to include extra gear, have only traveled light and performance was satisfactory. Fine product for recreational use.
