Not tight fitting which I would of liked to keep their body heat in, but fuzzy warm so I kept them. We are in cold conditions and do a lot of outside snow activity. Haven't used the top for that yet, but they love them as PJ's. Under a sweatshirt I think will be perfect for skiing or snowmobile weather.
