Comments about MSR Denali Classic Snowshoe: Tails would probably be best for deep, fluffy snow, but for day hiking on trails in the winter, these are perfect!

Comments about MSR Denali Classic Snowshoe: These are great snowshoes for crunchy or packed snow, but which is still not dense enough to just use crampons. The short length makes them feasible on narrow trails where 30" snowshoes would not work. Also, the grip on these are MUCH better than on standard webbing-on-aluminum-frame style snowshoes which usually have aluminum spikes in the foot area only.

Comments about MSR Denali Classic Snowshoe: I was familiar with the versatility of these shoes, having borrowed a friend's pair in the past. It was time to get my own. They are solidly built, easy to get in and out of, and perform well in varying conditions and terrain. The stabilizer bars provide good grip on ice and they handled deep snow better than I thought they would. I have not purchased the tails yet. Very pleased with my purchase.

Comments about MSR Denali Classic Snowshoe: Great snowshoe for the price. I am 215 pounds and need a smaller shoe for packed conditions and a larger shoe for new snow. This gives me some needed versitility with the attachable tails. Not great for very deep snow with a pack at my size, but I have other snowshoes for that. I like the traction and the solid binding attachment. Hard to beat for the price!
