Comments about MSR Kid's Shift Snowshoe: I like these snowshoes - good price, lightweight, durable, great traction. The bindings are a little more difficult than I'd like when fingers are cold - had to remove gloves to help my kids get them on. Once they are on though - they stayed on with no issue.

Comments about MSR Kid's Shift Snowshoe: I bought these for my boys mostly because they go up to a weight over 100# and I didn't want to keep buying them new ones each year. They are awesome snowshoes, the boys never once complained, and nor did I while I got them in and out of them!

Cons Best Uses Comments about MSR Kid's Shift Snowshoe: I got these for my wife (5'0", about 110 lbs.). She loves them. Very secure bindings (her old ones used to fall off). Good traction. Decent flotation (of course depending on snow type). Only complaint was color (not pretty enough, but the pink was worse).

Comments about MSR Kid's Shift Snowshoe: I purchased these for my 8 year old daughter who has never snowshoed. I strapped them on her, she immediately scaled a 6 foot high snowbank. These have a very slim design, less likely to catch them together while stepping. Great for beginners. Nice crampons for crust and climbing. Very happy with my purchase.

Comments about MSR Kid's Shift Snowshoe: Overall, these are very good snowshoes. They are well-made, not too difficult to put on, and small enough to be highly maneuverable. I only noticed two drawbacks. One is the straps have a tendency to come undone too easily (say once or twice over the course of a difficult three hours). The other is the snowshoes don't provide enough flotation for deep powdery snow, at least not for my 70-80 pound kids. My kids are fine following in my tracks, however.

Q:
What size boots do these snowshoes fit? I have 3 kids one is about 90lbs and the other two are about 45lbs. I am having a really hard time finding snowshoes that can fit these weights for real snowshoeing in the mountains. It seems they are all either for adults or toddlers.1 answer
