Comments about Petzl Tikka XP 2 Headlamp: Just used this on a week long kayaking trip in the Maine wilderness. Teh red light was especially effective at letting you see in th edark without ruining your night vision. The batteries lasted all week, and i used the light 4 hours a day for 7 days. The difuser is nice for reading, and the white beam was powerful enough to see the shoreline in the dark.

Comments about Petzl Tikka XP 2 Headlamp: The XP2 is a great upgrade to replace the original Tikka headlamp. The red light feature is extremely handy for protecting night vision. The adjustability of the light level, beam direction and light color make this the best headlamp I've ever used. Can't go wrong with this light and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good headlamp that is versatile and durable.

Comments about Petzl Tikka XP 2 Headlamp: I have had the same Petzl Tikka headlamp for almost 4 years now and it is still going strong. Have used it for camping and backpacking and has worked out well. The biggest test I put it through was when I took an amazing trip to the Amazon Rainforest in Peru with this great conservation company Tamandua Expeditions. The rainforest is really wet, and the headlamp never had a problem. On night hikes through the dark jungle, I was able to spot some great wildlife with the lamp. Recommended!

Comments about Petzl Tikka XP 2 Headlamp: good light, comfortable to wear. lots of features - red, red blinking, white high/low light/blinking. goes from a wide light to a narrow beam when you slide plastic piece down over light. only problem seems to be getting the clicks right on the button to switch light features...I can't seem to get that down as fast as I'd like. probably will get easier after practice. haven't tried in wet conditions yet...
