Comments about Petzl E+LITE Emergency Headlamp: Everyone is right, this is a great, bright, ultralight headlamp - only keychain LEDs are lighter. But one of my key reasons for camping/backpacking is to see the stars. Red light doesn't kill your night vision, so after your eyes have been adjusting you can use the red LED on this to see things. And watch the stars!

Comments about Petzl E+LITE Emergency Headlamp: This is a great little light. Very durable, and versatile with great battery life. I got one of these for work, used it for two years and liked it so much I just bought this one for my son for Christmas. It is not the brightest product out there but if you are going to use it for very dark situations or for backpacking (where weight and size matters most) it is just what the Doctor ordered.
