The AirFusion™ Kayak is designed to rival the performance and speed of skin-on-frame kayaks while simplifying the setup procedure. Its unique design is a fusion of aluminum alloy frame poles and pressurized air tubes which result in a high performance rigid frame system.
  • Performance: Aluminum frame, and high pressure air chambers provide a hull speed comparable to a hard-shell
  • Quick Set Up: Compared to Frame and Skin Kayaks, high pressure air chambers reduce frame parts for faster set-up time.
  • Durable: Heavy-duty PVC Tarpaulin material for extreme puncture resistance.
  • Style: This narrow beam design paddles like a rigid hard-shell kayak.
  • Portability: No roof rack needed! Pack in the trunk of your car or fly it to remote destinations.
  • Includes: Carry duffel bag, Repair kit, Folding Seat and owners amnual.
  • Pack size: 10"w x 30"l x 18"h.
  • Boat dimensions: 25" x 13'.
  • Weight: 32 lbs. 4 oz.
  • Weight limit: 235 lbs.

Comments about Advanced Elements AirFusion Kayak:

It was difficult to put together...definitely need two (or one VERY strong person) to get the side rails together.....a VIDEO would be better to explain the process rather than that book in such TINY print. [...] I have not had the opportunity to use this kayak yet and don't know if I will even be able to haul it around.

Comments about Advanced Elements AirFusion Kayak:

My kayaking experience is limited and I can only compare the Airfusion to my other kayak, the Advanced Elements Advanced Frame model. I bought the Airfusion specifically for more speed. A point that takes me 10 minutes to paddle in the Advanced Frame can be paddled to in 7 minutes or less in the Airfusion. Definitely more maneuverable than the Advanced Frame.

Assembly must be studied prior to your maiden voyage. The instruction are very well written. There are many steps in assembly, so be patient and deliberate. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

In reviews on other sites, the infamous #3 sleeve tube gives many people trouble. It can be very tough to move. I found a little lubricant on the inside of this works wonders.

While the Airfusion is not an uncomfortable boat, the Advanced Frame takes the prize there. Like a floating couch. The Aifusion's narrow beam may make it too narrow for some people.

  • Q:

Can this be used as a Stream Kayak? Or is it something that's exclusively designed for flat water? In other words, will the skin tear and leak if you rub on a gravel bottom or against a rock?

The Durable: Heavy-duty PVC Tarpaulin material for extreme puncture resistance is very resistant to punture. Envision the tarp material you see on trucks on the highway-the same material.

  • Q:

How long does it take to set it up from box to on the water?
Are there tools needed to set up?

30 minute to an hour first time. After 2-3 times assembling you would be able to get it in the water in 20 minutes. No extra tools are required except an air pump to inflate. Directions are pretty clear.
