7/16 in. diameter static line is the standard rope for caving, rappelling, and rescue applications. Double twist cabled polyester sheath and nylon core strands make these ropes extremely abrasion resistant and have minimal stretch (not recommended for rock climbing). Tensile strength 7420 lbf. Weight: 8lbs 14oz.

It fits all my devices well, although it is a little stiff right out-of-the-bag for some knots such as the double fisherman's, but the double figure-8 is just fine. Doesn't seem to twist as bad with a Munter hitch as my dynamic rope. Pros
