In addition, the material on the palms/ inside of fingers is not that strong, and these will probably wear out quickly.

For the first half hour or so of my walk, the gloves didn't keep my hands warm enough, but then after a longer walk, my hands warmed up from the gloves. I would have thought it would be the other way! Fine, anyhow.
