Comments about Trango Squid Un-Clip Stick: I had seen the squid used at crags before with a lot of success. It's a little extravagant as a purchase if you aren't sport climbing outside all the time. Simpler stick clips are usually equally as effective for basic usage. However, if you're really bad at using these other methods or sport climb enough that the less time spent before roping up is important, then the squid's pretty rad.
