This pen really does what the manufacturer says it does.Writes: Upside down-yes, underwater-yes, besides ordinary writing conditions; what else do you need? I use it for my ships log and it has been flawless. Just bought another as well as a refill cartridge for my dive logbook.

The Fisher pen is one of the 10 essentials in my backpack. It always works, and it's somewhat smaller than most pens. But I always thought the pen barrel felt flimsy, and maybe I was right. Although it's been in my pack on countless outings, air travel, and car trunks, as well as knocking around in my jacket or hiking pants pocket, it recently split in two where the bottom and top halves of the pen meet. The ink cartridge was still perfectly usable.
So... I'm buying another one. It's still a good value, and now, I have an extra ink cartridge as a backup.

I've had two or three of these pens (misplacing is the problem) and they really work. They're nothing fancy, but you can use them in the rain, when it's cold, or - best of all - upside down. A good, dependable, pen.

I have owned several of these pens now - three, I think -- and found them each to have performed flawlessly and as hoped, intended, and expected without exception.

It is also a positive attribute that one can buy refills almost wherever Fisher® refills are sold.

If there is a CON category for this pen, it is that the plastic can crack at the midpoint IF the pen is over-stressed; but of what pen is that not so -- including metal pens?
