Comments about Sevylor Motor Mount: I use the Campmor motor mount on my Fish Hunter. It handles an old Evinrude 3.3hp just fine. It was easy to install, fits perfectly. Only downside is I broke an adjuster installing it and broke the other one later. Clamps could be improved... otherwise a good buy. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Sevylor Motor Mount: I have seen comments that "you could make your own" motor mount, but after looking at and using this unit, I realize it would take quite a bit of effort to get the right size tubing, bend it, bolt wood to it etc. This is well worth the price to avoid the hassle. So far this has worked flawlessly with a Sevylor Coral Sea Kayak and a 2.5hp Mercury outboard. I actually took the entire rig 2 miles into open ocean (on a calm day of course), without any problem. Before returning back to shore, I checked all the bolts, nuts and connections to verify they were all good and everything was still firm and stable.
