Comments about Eureka Amari Pass Solo Tent:

I would like a few modest "windows" sewn in the fly that I can peak out from. I had a black bear encounter in camp at night while sleeping in the tent last weekend and I could have used a couple of extra seconds to react faster rather than "what was that" delay with unzipping the bag, tent and vestibule as I wasn't sure what was going on and didn't want to wake up my students. Just a thought. Otherwise another very good 3 season tent from Eureka.

I bought this for my son just before we headed to Colorado in early spring. It sets up quickly. It's snug. It's light. And it keeps you dry. I agree with the comments that recommend a footprint.

Comments about Eureka Amari Pass Solo Tent:

I used this tent for two nights in Maine and it performed wonderful. First night there was a light rain ad I stayed completly dry. Night 2 was a rather rough night with heavy rain and wind and still stayed dry. I would advise a footprint for this tent, bottom is rather thin. If you need a one person tent i would say that this tent, for the price is a great choice.

Comments about Eureka Amari Pass Solo Tent:

I use the tent to backpack, mostly with a Scout Troop. Used on AT trip in Western Maine. Big enough to turn around and sit up without too much weight. Love the loft and pockets inside. The Velcro wraps around the poles on the fly are a pain to deal with- especially if setting up in rain. Otherwise set-up is fine.

Comments about Eureka Amari Pass Solo Tent:

I was looking for a nice solo tent to use during a recent mountain biking weekend at Raytstown Lake in central PA. This tent fit the bill. At 5'10" I had just enough room to be comfortable while inside the tent, somebody over 6' would probably be too cramped. The tent was very easy to set up, the stakes are way too flimsy though. It was hard to get them to penetrate the hard ground, I ended up bending several of them. Ventilation was a bit lacking with the rain fly on. I was sweating like crazy on a 80 degree night with the fly zipped up. For the price I am very pleased though.

Comments about Eureka Amari Pass Solo Tent:

Excellent tent with a lot of features at an outstanding price. Compared it to a number of other one-person tents to include other ones from Eureka and Sierra Designs. The fact that this one is free-standing is a big plus. Packs up small. Also, this tent may be a little heavier than some of the other one-person tents, but the floor material is thick enough that you won't need to use a footprint- saves weight and $. Have not been in rain to see how it keeps things dry, but good construction leads me to believe it won't be an issue.

Smelt/steelhead camp. Got stuck in the middle of the night and had to hike in to camp. Set it up sight unseen at 3 am with no problems. Good tent- heavier than my old tent, but also more sturdy. This will now be my go-to tent for kayaking and backpacking.

I have an Osprey Atmos 65 pack. It is roughly 32" long, 18" wide. If the pack is laying flat on the ground, will it fit completely, in the vestibule of this tent?

The vestibule is tight and an Atmos 65 will probably stick out of the sides of the vestibule.

I am assuming you will be sitting in easy pose or lotus. If this is how you will be meditating then the sides of the tent will touch you. Savasana would be a better choice. The Amair Pass is water proof with fully taped seams.
