Big Agnes - Lone Spring 1 Tent

Item #: 28929

Our Price: $199.95

The Big Agnes Lone Spring 1 is a one person tent with 1 door and one vestibule for storing excess or wet gear or even a dog. The shockcorded aluminum DAC frame is strong and light. It sets up in a few minutes. The mesh roof is great for ventilation and stargazing should you get so lucky. The RipStop materials used in the full coverage fly and the sealed floor are tough and durable. The side entry door is large enough for easy entry or exit and it opens to a vestibule for stuff. Of course set up and take down is easy because of the all clip connections on the poles. The best thing about the Lone Spring is the affordable price and the Big Agnes quality.

Comments about Big Agnes - Lone Spring 1 Tent:

I bought this tent to replace my 12 year old Sierra Designs Lightyear. I researched a lot of single person tents/shelters on line and decided the the Lone Spring 1 provided a good deal of floor space, near vertical sidewalls, and good vestibule area. I also bought the footprint for it. I'm 6' and 160 Lbs. I've only used it once since getting it two weeks ago; took it motorcycle camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway for four nights. The tent was easy to set up and provided a good deal of space inside the tent and within the vestibule for my pad, sleeping bag, clothing bag, and riding gear.
It rained the last two nights of my trip and the Lone Spring 1 preformed very well with on leaks noted. (I did nothing additional to waterproof the tent.) the last night was a combination of light rain and foggy mist and I did notice some condensation on the inside of the fly. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

  • Q:

Why is the price so low compared to the other models of big agnes like the slater or the fly creek or the copper spur?

The reason that the Copper Spur is more expensive to because the poles on the Copper Spur collapse down smaller to create a smaller pack size at 4.5 in x 16 in verses the Lone Spring at 7 in x 17 in Additionally the carry wt for the Copper Spur is 2 lb 8 oz to the Lone Spring 4 lb 1 oz. The lighter a tent often the tent will be more expensive.
