Comments about Big Agnes - Lone Spring 1 Tent:
I bought this tent to replace my 12 year old Sierra Designs Lightyear. I researched a lot of single person tents/shelters on line and decided the the Lone Spring 1 provided a good deal of floor space, near vertical sidewalls, and good vestibule area. I also bought the footprint for it. I'm 6' and 160 Lbs. I've only used it once since getting it two weeks ago; took it motorcycle camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway for four nights. The tent was easy to set up and provided a good deal of space inside the tent and within the vestibule for my pad, sleeping bag, clothing bag, and riding gear.

Q:Why is the price so low compared to the other models of big agnes like the slater or the fly creek or the copper spur?
A:The reason that the Copper Spur is more expensive to because the poles on the Copper Spur collapse down smaller to create a smaller pack size at 4.5 in x 16 in verses the Lone Spring at 7 in x 17 in Additionally the carry wt for the Copper Spur is 2 lb 8 oz to the Lone Spring 4 lb 1 oz. The lighter a tent often the tent will be more expensive.
