Comments about Coleman Compact Aluminum Top Table:

We have taken this table on two multi-night group canoe camping trips and found it to be great for food prep. It is sturdy for cook stoves and is a good height that saves stooping over stoves on the ground.
A down side is that the spaces between the slats can accumulate dirt and drips and need to be cleaned carefully. I would like the carry bag to close tighter so there is no chance the poles can fall out.

From the photos, this looks like an EZ-Up canopy or bag chair frame, with no parts to assemble. The top appears to be made of connected slats that roll or fold up for transit.

However, I can't tell how the tabletop attaches to the frame. Any real users out there? Thanks!

That's the same question I have. I think there are two possible answers for how it attaches to the frame. I have a couple of similar looking tables. The slatted top is fully removeable and can be rolled up 'accordian style'. If this is like mine, the downside is how it attaches to the table. What can't be seen are the two aluminum tubes that the table connects to. These tubes connect to the frame by means of a plastic pin in the center of a clip. To achieve optimum orientation of the table top on the frame, this pin must be lined up with a hole on the side of the aluminum tube. As long as the hole and pin are correctly lined up, everything works well. Unfortunately, they don't always line up. When that happens, the pin breaks off. The table is still useable, it just takes a little more effort to make sure it correctly oriented.

I also have a slatted wooden top table that connects directly to the frame. I think this type works better. This is probably like the other alum. tables

The table top has push on clamps on the bottom side. Once unfolded into a table top, just align the table frame and press down to snap the table top in place.
