Comments about Leki Trekking Silent Spike Pad - Pole Tip: These fit my Outdoor Product Trekking Poles very well. Quite on hard surfaces. No matter how you position your trekking pole there is always a carbide tip that grips. Used them on very icy walking paths around the farm, and haven't come off yet! Fit right out of the box, no modification needed.
Comments about Leki Trekking Silent Spike Pad - Pole Tip: I don't like the single spike on my walking poles, they make a loud click on cement and asphalt plus sink into the trail soil. These spiked rubber tips make a good tip for hiking. They are a nice compromise between not sinking into the soil too far and the small spikes will keep the rubber from wearing out too soon. Pros

Comments about Leki Trekking Silent Spike Pad - Pole Tip: Rock solid, good grip on any surface---ice, hard pavement, you name it--- and quiet! Perfect pole tips for winter hiking and exercise walking. They seem a little pricey, but there's no match for performance that I've seen. Pros

Best Uses Comments about Leki Trekking Silent Spike Pad - Pole Tip: These tips are great for use on relatively smooth path, walkway, road surfaces but CAREFUL, the small spikes are very sharp and could injure anyone/anything that gets too close when you are adjusting them or just stowing. Pros

Comments about Leki Trekking Silent Spike Pad - Pole Tip: If you have a Leki Pole and the standard tip is too much and the rubber tip lacks grip this is the one to get. Pros

Comments about Leki Trekking Silent Spike Pad - Pole Tip: Used hiking in the Rocky Mountains. Comments about Leki Trekking Silent Spike Pad - Pole Tip: While not quite silent, this tip is significantly less noisey than the single carbide spike. It also does much less damage to the trail without losing any gripping ability in the process. In fact I found that this tip performed better on some of the harder and smoother surfaces where a single spice would not alwsys find purchase. Displaying reviews 1-8 |
