The Kelty Pavillion Shadehouse is a very large easy to set up canopy. Perfect for backyard parties or a camnpsite kitchen this canopy will be one of your favorite pieces of camping gear. It is large, 14'x14' with over a 7' center height. With almost 200 sq. ft of space you can put a picnic table or 2 under it and still have room to party. The durable polyester top won't stretch in wet weather and is goinjg to keep you dry. It is easy and fast to set up and take down is a cinch too.

I would like to know if this pavillion is good in the rain. I hear it will keep you dry but is that the truth?

  Honest truth no. It has only 450 mm of coating and a strong rain will drive though a coating like that. You need at least 800mm of coating. Additionally wind driven rain can come in from the sides.

I really want the honest truth - can this pavillion hold up in the rain? I want to put it over camping table where I cook and I don't want to get rained on!

  I wouldn't say impossible, but it's probably a stretch to do by yourself. I think with a little practice it could be done but this thing is HUGE!
