  • Q:

Am I completely out of my mind? I camp alone. Can I put this tent up by myself? I am very experienced with tents. I anticipate that the rainfly will be a problem since that has to go on last. Any other issues?

As another solo camper myself, this may be a bit of a challenge but if you are game I think you can manage setting the copper canyon up by yourself. The way this tent goes up is as follows:
      1. you first assemble the roof poles into the junctions that are sewn into the tent.
      2. Once the roof is assembled you insert the poles from the corner up to the roof assemble.
      3. I would raise the tent on the diagonal. For instance first raise the right rear then the left front.
Once the tent body is up Locate the front of the tent and the front of the fly. You may want to tie some lines for the rear corners so that you can draw the fly over the back of the tent to the appropriate corners.
Once the fly is in position you can secure the fly to the tent and stake out.

  • Q:

How does the 5 person tent with screen room differ from the 8 person - 2room tent? In other words, what makes a screen room a "screen room"?

A screen room does not have a floor. This allows use of chairs and tables inside which might damage a tent floor. A two room tent has a sealed floor in both rooms. You can see this in the included pictures of the tent interior.
