The adjustable version is heavy duty and works great!! About twice as solid as this flimsy thing. Don't waste your money on this one, get the adjustable.  Pros

Comments about Kelty Noah's Staff - Aluminum Pole: Took this out to Sturgis S.D. on a 6 day minimilist style camping trip. I set up a tarp with the Kelty pole elevating one corner with the opposite corner anchored to the top of a fence post and placed my bivy tent underneath. Remaining corners were anchored in the ground. This thing held up to a thunderstorm with hail. I saw the pole flex some at the joints, but it never gave out. I chose this pole specifically because it fit inside a hard saddlebag when collapsed and with my luck, if I hadn't bought it, we would have been setting up in a hay field with no trees or fences in sight.
