The Sierra Designs Light Year 1 tent is a classic ultralight solo tent designed for those who want to go faster and lighter. It's has been redesigned with an all mesh body, which gives great ventilation and allows for stargazing. Now also with a lighter and stronger pole set. Requiring minimal staking (in good weather) the Light Year 1 has long been a favorite of long distance hikers. Easy to set up and just roomy enough this tent even packs small too. The full coverage fly completely envelops the tent and will keep you dry and secure when the rain falls or blows. And the SuperSeal bathtub floor will add to your secure feeling because the floor wraps up the sides to keep you dry and comfortable.

DAC FeatherLite NSL shockcorded aluminum poles are strong and reliable - they are less prone to breakage in part because of their unique means of joining the poles with a precisely machined insert rather than an unreliable ferrule - utilizes Reverse Combi Technology by using varying diameters determined by where extra strength is needed which gives the best strength to weight ratio of any pole - saves weight with a thicker diameter pole with a thinner wall and the process used to make them is far less polluting than other methods

  To be a 4 season tent, a tent needs to support heavy snow loads. The Sierra Designs LightYear 1 - Tent will not support heavy snow loads. It has aluminum poles so this tent will work in colder weather.
